Privacy Policy
How TLH Executive collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information.
- 01
Who we are
This privacy policy applies to TLH Executive, the permanent and executive recruitment division of TLH Group ("we", "us", "our"), and to this website. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Because recruitment involves handling personal information about candidates and client contacts, we treat that information as confidential by default and only use it for the purposes described below.
- 02
Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us.
If you are a candidate
- Name, email address, phone number and location
- Your CV or resume, and any documents you upload to us
- Employment history, qualifications, skills and referee details
- Your current role, salary expectations and career preferences
- Right-to-work status and, where a role requires it, background or licence check results
If you are a client or prospective client
- Name, business email address, phone number and company name
- Details of the roles you are recruiting for and the requirements attached to them
Collected automatically when you visit this site
- IP address, browser type, device type and operating system
- Pages visited, time spent, and the site or search that referred you
- Cookie data, as described in the cookies section below
- 03
How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you in most cases — when you submit a form on this site, register your CV, apply for a role, email or call us, or meet with a consultant.
We may also collect information from third parties, including job boards you have applied through, publicly available professional networking profiles, referees you have nominated, and background or verification providers where a role requires those checks and you have consented to them.
- 04
How we use your information
We use personal information to provide recruitment services. Specifically:
- To assess your suitability for roles and to present you to clients as a candidate
- To contact you about opportunities, including roles that are not publicly advertised
- To carry out reference, qualification and right-to-work checks
- To respond to enquiries and provide the services a client has engaged us for
- To meet our legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations
- To improve this website and our services
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
- 05
Who we share it with
As a recruitment business, sharing candidate information with prospective employers is central to what we do — but we do it on your terms.
We will not submit your profile to a client without your knowledge. Where you have asked us to keep your registration confidential, we will contact you before presenting you for any role.
We may also disclose personal information to:
- Other entities within TLH Group, where relevant to your search
- Referees you have nominated
- Background checking, right-to-work and qualification verification providers
- Service providers who support our operations — including IT, hosting, email and CRM providers — under confidentiality obligations
- Regulators, law enforcement or courts where we are legally required to do so
- 06
Storage and security
We hold personal information in electronic systems operated by us or by our service providers. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including access controls, secure hosting and staff confidentiality obligations.
Some of our service providers may store or process data outside Australia. Where that occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
- 07
How long we keep it
We keep candidate information for as long as it remains relevant to your career and to opportunities we may be able to offer you, unless you ask us to remove it. We keep client and transactional records for as long as required to meet our contractual, tax and legal obligations.
When information is no longer needed for any purpose we are permitted to use it for, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
- 08
Your rights and choices
You can ask us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date
- Remove your profile from our database
- Stop contacting you about opportunities, or unsubscribe from our emails
To make a request, contact us using the details at the end of this policy. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within a reasonable period, and in most cases there is no charge.
- 09
Cookies and analytics
This website uses cookies — small files stored on your device — to keep the site working properly, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling some cookies may affect how parts of this site function, including forms.
We may use analytics tools to understand aggregate site usage. Where those tools are provided by third parties, their own privacy policies apply to the data they collect.
