Privacy Policy

How TLH Executive collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information.

Who we are

This privacy policy applies to TLH Executive, the permanent and executive recruitment division of TLH Group ("we", "us", "our"), and to this website. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Because recruitment involves handling personal information about candidates and client contacts, we treat that information as confidential by default and only use it for the purposes described below.

Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us.

If you are a candidate

If you are a client or prospective client

Collected automatically when you visit this site

How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you in most cases — when you submit a form on this site, register your CV, apply for a role, email or call us, or meet with a consultant.

We may also collect information from third parties, including job boards you have applied through, publicly available professional networking profiles, referees you have nominated, and background or verification providers where a role requires those checks and you have consented to them.

How we use your information

We use personal information to provide recruitment services. Specifically:

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Who we share it with

As a recruitment business, sharing candidate information with prospective employers is central to what we do — but we do it on your terms.

We will not submit your profile to a client without your knowledge. Where you have asked us to keep your registration confidential, we will contact you before presenting you for any role.

We may also disclose personal information to:

Storage and security

We hold personal information in electronic systems operated by us or by our service providers. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including access controls, secure hosting and staff confidentiality obligations.

Some of our service providers may store or process data outside Australia. Where that occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep it

We keep candidate information for as long as it remains relevant to your career and to opportunities we may be able to offer you, unless you ask us to remove it. We keep client and transactional records for as long as required to meet our contractual, tax and legal obligations.

When information is no longer needed for any purpose we are permitted to use it for, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

Your rights and choices

You can ask us to:

To make a request, contact us using the details at the end of this policy. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within a reasonable period, and in most cases there is no charge.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses cookies — small files stored on your device — to keep the site working properly, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling some cookies may affect how parts of this site function, including forms.

We may use analytics tools to understand aggregate site usage. Where those tools are provided by third parties, their own privacy policies apply to the data they collect.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information or breached the Australian Privacy Principles, contact us first using the details below. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it promptly.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy
